Accessing Cart Horse Protection Association - Equine Welfare Training Online
Students can enrol for any of our courses online through the registration links available on our Site.
To participate and successfully complete the courses, you require a registered email account, access to a computer/laptop/tablet and stable internet connection. You should be able to read documents in Adobe PDF Reader, use Microsoft Excel, view Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, and read and create documents in Microsoft Word.
All information (including personal information) provided to us on enrolment on creating an account, or while accessing Cart Horse Protection Association - Equine Welfare Training Online courses, must be true, accurate and complete. You are also responsible for updating us in the event of a change to your information.
If you are under the age of 18, you are required to obtain written consent and assistance from your parent or legal guardian to enter into these Terms or enrol for an online course, and this enrolment would need to be separately managed through our training and development department by arrangement to ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
Cart Horse Protection Association - Equine Welfare Online Course Fees
When you enrol for an online course, you agree to pay the applicable Course Fee.
When you enrol for an online course, full payment must be made using the PayFast payment portal before access to the course is granted.
You will receive an official Cart Horse Protection Association receipt once payment has been successfully made.
Once you have enrolled for a course, paid the course fee, you will have access to the course for the stipulated time period for the course.
Should you wish to extend this time frame, this can be negotiated with the training and development department at megan@carthorse.org.za
Course fees are not refundable.
Course Delivery
English is the language of instruction and administration for all Cart Horse Protection Association - Equine Welfare Training online courses. All coursework that is required for assessment purposes must be written in English. This includes posts made on the discussion forums.
Each online course consists of modules and topics and delivered over a specified duration via the Digital Learning Platform. All course-related documentation is provided in electronic format and can be accessed through the Digital Learning Platform.
You may receive communication by telephone or email from Cart Horse Protection Association representatives for course administration and related purposes or other information related to your enrolment or these Terms.
Only students who are enrolled for an online course may participate in that course. You may not provide your username or password to any other person, may not permit any other person to participate in the course on your behalf, and may not impersonate any other person in dealing with Cart Horse Protection Association – Equine Welfare Training Online using another user’s username and password. If you have forgotten your username or password, our technical support (megan@carthorse.org.za ) will assist you to change your password in your student profile.
All online courses include pause and think and check your learning exercises throughout the modules and topics, with a final assessment at the end of the course. Final assessments are automatically graded.
All our online courses include module overviews as an introduction to the content covered in each module.
Each course runs over a set number of weeks during which you will be able to access and complete the activities, quizzes and assignments in your own time. You will have access to the learning material for a maximum number of months (depending on which course you enrol for) from date of initial enrolment.
We are constantly improving our courses. We may add or remove functions, features, or requirements, and we may suspend or stop a course altogether, giving enrolled students prior notice of any material changes.

Cart Horse Protection Association – Equine Welfare Training Online Certification of Completion
On successful completion of your online course, Cart Horse Protection Association will award you with a Certificate of Completion. It is issued in your legal name, provided to us during the enrolment process. You will not be awarded a certificate if you do not meet the stipulated requirements for the award of a certificate.
Cart Horse Protection Association issues an electronic certificate on completion.
If you receive your certificate with a printing error, you are required to notify us and return the erroneous certificate to the sender before an amended version will be issued. We cannot be held liable for printing errors resulting from incorrect personal student information provided to us.
